The Character Cafe Blog Hop Contest

Hope everyone is having a blessed Sunday! My family has been sick this weekend with the exception of my 6-year old son (and I pray that he doesn't get this old cold bug!) Despite feeling a little under-the -weather I took the boys to church and left my sick husband in the bed...and I was so glad I did. It is so amazing how just being in church and worshiping the Lord will lift you up even when you are feeling bad. He is truely amazing isn't He?!
This afternoon, I made this cute card for my brother-n-law's belated birthday. We got together this evening to celebrate and even though this image would better suit a little boy, I thought it was perfect with the sentiment that I included on the inside of the card: "You look good for your age, almost human." The sentiment stamps are from Inkadinkado and the image is a freebie from The Character Cafe. I am submitting this card for their 12 Hops of Christmas Blog Hop! Read about it below or visit their store here for more details.
Well, tomorrow is another MONDAY and another day closer to Christmas! Hope everyone is getting all of their decorating and shopping done because it won't be long now! God bless and thanks for stopping by!

Hope everyone has had a productive Saturday. I took the kids to see Santa this morning so they could give him their lists and get their pictures taken. I also did some Christmas shopping and got some of my Christmas cards mailed out. I just wanted to post tonight to let you know of the Blog Hop over at the Character Cafe . Check them out and play along to have a chance to win some awesome prizes. I have not had time today to create any new cards, but maybe tomorrow I will get a chance. Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday and a restful Saturday night!

Stamp Something Challenge/Peachy Keen Challenge

Well, I guess the creative juices are flowing now! I think I work best at night anyway (not sure what the reason?) I just made this card for the Stamp Something Challenge. Check it out here. I am also entering this into the Peachy Keen Challenge. The stamp is a digi by Degital Delights by Louby Loo. Check them out here (they have really great digi's!) Paper is by American Crafts. Have a wonderful evening (tomorrow is hump day!)

I've had some difficulty the past couple of days with creating. Have you ever had that problem...you had plenty of time to work on a project, but nothing seemed to work. Well I finally created this card tonight (I've been home all day today and yesterday with my sick 3 year old little boy.) I used my cuttlebug embossing folders to emboss the burgundy cardstock as well as the angel and star. The Cricut cartridge Joy of the Season was used to cut out the angel and star. The sentiment stamp is by Inkadinkado. I am submitting this card in the Cuttlebug challenge that is running for 2 weeks. I know there is no glitter, but I did use some bling on the star and the card is embossed. Hope everyone has had a blessed day!

Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge

Well, I finally found some time to spend in my craft room today, creating some cards and playing with my new Cricut!! I got it on sale for $69.99 at Michael's on Friday!! I was soooo excited because I thought they were marked down for 97.99 and then when I got to the register it came up as 69.99! I love it when I can get a really good deal. Any way...I thought I would share two cards today that I made for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge this week. The first card didn't really turn out as good as I was hoping so I made a second card. Love both stamp sets (by Sweet N Sassy) The DP on the first card is by American Crafts and the second is by K&Company. Hope everyone is getting ready for Christmas! It will be here before you can turn around!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope everyone is stuffed with Turkey and dressing and is feeling extremely blessed (I know I am!) Just wanted to do a short post tonight to tell you about a neat site that has free digi images every Wednesday. She is also giving away some blog candy. Check the site out here. She has some very cute digital images. Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and don't spend too much money on Black Friday!

Mojo Monday

Is everyone ready for Thanksgiving. I've been running around all day trying to get things coordinated. It takes lots of planning! In the mix of the craziness, I did get a chance to play along with Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. Here is the sketch. The DP is K&Company, ribbon is from American Crafts, bakers twine and punch are from Martha Stewart. The digi was another freebie, but I can't recall the company:( Sorry! If I can figure that out, I will post it. Hope everyone has had a happy Monday and is getting that Turkey thawed out in time for the big day. Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday, November 21, 2009

I decided to make a card for the Sweet Stop Sketch challenge over at Sweet N Sassy Stamps. If you've never visited their store, I encourage you to check them out...they have some really adorable stamps and digi's. The challenge this week is to use their sketch along with some stitching on the card. Here is my version. The sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado. I can't remember where I got the little reindeer digi (he was a freebie)...when I figure that out, I will post that info here. The DP is from DCWV "Holiday Stack", the border punch is Martha Stewart, and the ribbon is from Michael's. The snowflake layered punch is from McGill and I used the Gelly Roll clear star pens to add some sparkle to the snowflake, the sentiment and to the hearts on the reindeer. This was a really fun sketch and challenge. Enjoy!

I wanted to share this cute card today that I made for a friend's birthday. I used the Gelly Roll pens by Sakura (clear star) to accent my flower, leaf and sentiment stamps. Sentiment stamp is Studio G, and the flower and leaf stamps are acrylic stamps by Sandylion. The stickers are some that came in a random kit (not sure of the company?) Die cut label is Spellbinders nestie label #8 set. Papers and cardstock are from my scrap stash. Hope everyone is having a fun Saturday. I just got home from my weekly shopping trip to Michael's with my mom! (had a 50% coupon that had to be used! lol:) Thanks for stopping by "stamin' alley" today!

Here is the card that I made using a digi freebie from Sweet N Sassy. Cute and cuddly and perfect for a baby card that I was needing for a friend. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday!
